Keep going back and forth on this so figured I'd just ask. My GranCabrio is my weekend car and it lives under a cover most of the time but even so the Abu Dhabi sun and dust have done a number on the bonnet over the past two summers. I've read that ceramic coating helps but then I see people saying it's overrated and a good wax is enough, and honestly I don't know who to believe anymore. What I do know is I don't want to keep polishing it every few months, it's exhausting and I'm always paranoid about burning through the clear coat. A colleague mentioned he'd used a Professional Maserati detailing near ICAD and was happy with the result including the coating they applied, but he's not exactly a car guy so I'm taking it with a pinch of salt. Has anyone here had a coating done on a soft Italian paint and did it actually hold up through a full summer? Also does it change how you wash the car afterwards because I'm not trying to make my life harder.
